Clarence Nagelvoort has spent 30 years in the Hospital environment gaining a diverse array of management experience.

His previous positions include System Chief Executive Officer and served as a CEO in three hospitals. Starting with a strong foundation in hospital operations management he generated a string of successes, improving struggling hospitals financially by building strong clinical programs through Physician and hospital staff support.

His portfolio of experience includes every area of healthcare management. Guiding hospitals through crises has emerged as one of his strongest skills. Financial downturns, hospital sale, regulatory compliance and federal investigations are some of the situations he was called upon to manage through with positive outcomes.

Mr. Nagelvoort has managed hospitals with high indigent care responsibility, cultural diversity challenges, experiencing declining market share as well as developing new direction for facilities in opportunistic markets. He has a track record of working in difficult environments with limited resources.

Mr. Nagelvoort served as a board member of Illinois’s Health Facilities Planning Board which is responsible for Certificate of Need applications in the State. Serving 10 years as a board member of the Chicago Hospital Risk Pooling Program, he developed extensive knowledge of risk management and the medical malpractice insurance industry. Clarence served as Chairman of the Family Health Network, Illinois’ only successful Medicaid managed care organization.

His credentials include Pharmacy and Masters of Business Administration degrees. Clarence Nagelvoort has worked in many countries bringing medical equipment, resources and organization to hospitals in Asia, South America and Eastern Europe.

He is a co-founder of Global Medical Foundation (GMF). GMF is an all volunteer group of surgeons and nurses that provide equipped surgical teams to impoverished areas of the world to serve those in need.
